One way to find us in St Angeau is to pop into Paris and ask a friendly gendarme. On the other hand.... .........You could leave the channel coast behind you and head south towards the department (county) called the Charente. Down towards the SW - capital city - Angouleme. St Angeau is 20 minutes north of Angouleme and to the east of Cognac where all the brandy in the world is made..... From the North you approach by way of Poitiers on the N10. Leave the main road at Mansle and drive over the river into the town. At the traffic lights turn left and about half a kilometre later take the road on the right signed for St Angeau and La Rochefoucauld. Follow on through the villages of Puyreaux and St Ciers. Turn left at the next 'T' junction and you're in St Angeau. First left turn in the village takes you down past the post office and up to the church. We're just on the right.
